Businessman Bill Koch has made billions working in the oil industry, but by the looks of his longtime residence — a quaint 1929-built beach house on the Nantucket Sound — you wouldn’t know.

Outside work, however, Koch is a yachtsman through and through, winning the America’s Cup in ’92 and filling his home with nautical collectibles. In fact, according to the Cape Cod Times, he built his interest sailing off the dock of his Osterville, MA home, which he remodeled after a Napoleonic-era boat interior.

Koch’s 8,653-square-foot abode at 177 Seapuit River Rd, Osterville, MA 02655 is now listed for $15 million. He may not be moving far, though, after reportedly buying the most expensive home on the Cape Cod market from philanthropist Rachel “Bunny” Lambert Mellon for $19.5 million in January.

While his new place may be a step up, Koch’s longtime home hosted a fundraiser for the Romney campaign and is described by listing agent Robert Kinlin as an “outstanding property reflect[ing] a keen sense of refinement.”

The home also reportedly boasts a state-of the-art wine cellar. Known for being a serious collector, Koch recently made headlines for winning a $12 million legal battle over 24 bottles of counterfeit Bordeaux.

If Koch gets his asking price for the Osterville estate, the buyer can expect an estimated $60,254 monthly payment, assuming 20 percent down on a 30-year mortgage.
